WHY IS ALKALINITY in THE BODY NECESSARY?     Too much of a good thing - protein - causes excess acid to accumulate in our bodies, leading to toxicity and disease.  Our cells become congested with excess protein, forcing the pH (acid/alkaline balance) of our body's life-sustaining fluids, whch are normally alkaline, down to abnormal, cell-stifling, disease-producing levels of toxic acidity.   

TO STOP EATING AWAY AT YOUR HEALTH, Dr. Morter says you MUST UNDERSTAND two Vital Points:

    1.  The Human Body is Alkaline by Design and Acid by Function.  Cells normally live in an alkaline environment and produce acid as a by-product, which is easily eliminated by the lungs.  As foods are digested, they create a residue called ash, which is alkaline, neutral or acid.  Fruits and vegetables produce a healthy alkaline ash.  but meats, grains, eggs and dairy products leave an acid ash.  Over-consumption of these foods results in so much acid that the body can become toxic, leading to the disease process.

      2.  The Human Body Needs Adequate Protein, but Excess Protein Leads to Disease.  That's the Protein Paradox.  Adequate protein is vital to keep cells healthy, but too much protein makes cells toxic and leads to disease.

Alkalize and pH.  What do they mean?  pH is the value given to indicate the acidity or alkalinity of a substance or in your body.  pH scales run from 0 to 14.   At the low end, 0 indicates really strong, complete acidity.  14 indicates really strong, complete alkalinity.  pH 7.0 indicates that the substance is neither acid nor alkaline (neutral).  Using test paper, the paper will change colors when in contact with urine or saliva.  The color chart indicates what the corresponding pH number is, which gives an indicator if your body has a healthy store of the minerals that keep its internal environment slightly alkaline or if your system is overwhelmed.  For example, If your body has too much protein, it will overwhelm the body by adding too much acid into your body.  This will eventually cause your body to become exhausted and you will feel exhausted.   For more detailed information, purchase the book "pH Your Potential for Health" on this website.

Gluten.   According to the New Merriam-Webster dictionary, Gluten is the gluey protein substance that causes dough to be sticky. 

Gluten-Free     What does gluten-free mean and why is it important?    Simply said,  Gluten-free means that the food was made without gluten.  .  Luckily, many companies are now finding ways to make gluten-free flours, breads, cookies, etc.   This is important because most of our processed foods contain barley, rye, some oats, and wheat (for so long we were told how wheat was the best thing for us).   If you read labels, on your food, you will find just how many items have gluten in them.  Many people have found themselves to be allergic to gluten, to the extent it caused serious side affects with individuals with Celiac Disease; or to a lesser extent individuals having digestion issues.   Either way, it seems like a smart thing to do is to avoid gluten as much as possible, or at least reduce our intake. 

How Do I know How Much of the Supplements I Should Take?   If you want to see a Morter-trained practioners, the practitioner can test you to determine exactly how much your body needs.  If that is not possible, general instructions are on the labels.   Actually, since these products are non-stimulatory, you will usually require less of the supplements over time, instead of increasing your dosages.
